Home Remodeling Center – Southern California's leaders in home remodeling
Spa-style bathrooms for Rancho Santa Fe homes — large-format porcelain, natural stone, mosaics and curbless showers, chosen at our San Marcos Design Center and installed by our own tile setters.
Rancho Santa Fe homeowners can review natural stone, large-format porcelain and specialty mosaics at our San Marcos Design Center with a designer before committing to a direction.
Rancho Santa Fe estates call for bathrooms built to the same standard as the rest of the home: book-matched stone, large-format porcelain slabs, curbless showers with linear drains, mitered edges and carefully planned layouts where grout lines align with fixtures and niches.

Every material below is installed by Home Remodeling Center’s in-house crews — never subcontractors.
24×48 tile, oversized panels and slab-look porcelain for showers and floors with minimal grout lines. Requires a flat substrate and careful lippage control — exactly what our setters are trained for.
Marble, travertine, limestone and slate for shower walls, floors and vanity backsplashes, installed with the right setting materials and sealed to protect the finish.
Herringbone, chevron, hexagon, penny, fish-scale and stone mosaics for shower floors, niches and accent walls — laid out so patterns line up and centered cuts look intentional.
Zero-threshold showers with a properly sloped floor, linear or center drains and continuous floor tile from the bathroom into the shower.
Recessed niches aligned to grout lines, built-in benches, mitered or metal-trimmed edges and tiled tub decks that make a bathroom feel custom.
Bathroom floors, tub surrounds and freestanding-tub platforms in porcelain, stone or mosaic, coordinated with your vanity, fixtures and glass.
Premium tile shows every shortcut: uneven edges, cut tiles in the wrong place, grout lines that drift and showers that leak behind the wall. Our in-house tile setters build Rancho Santa Fe showers and floors the right way from the substrate up.

Tile looks different on a screen than it does in your bathroom light. At our Design Center at 830 Los Vallecitos Blvd in San Marcos, Rancho Santa Fe homeowners can compare large-format porcelain, natural stone and mosaics side by side — along with vanities, fixtures and glass — with a designer who helps you put it all together.

“HRC just finished a two bathroom remodel for us. We really needed more storage with the layout of the bathroom to stay the same and they came up with a fantastic layout in both bathrooms. From start to finish everyone was professional and respectful of our home and needs. We really liked that we did not have to deal with any sub-contractors.”
Adair & Bob · Bathroom remodel“Wow! That is what everyone says about my kitchen when they walk in, thanks to the hard-working staff of HRC. HRC helped me create a gorgeous, functional, stunning kitchen. They communicated with me frequently throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend HRC.”
Kelly Cullen · Kitchen remodel“HRC is great to work with. Had them remodel our old kitchen. Kim was very helpful in picking out hardware, tile, etc. The crew was very professional and careful with existing floors and walls.”

Yes. Curbless showers need a properly sloped floor, the right drain and complete waterproofing. Whether one is practical in your Rancho Santa Fe home depends on the floor structure, which we evaluate at your free consultation.
Large-format porcelain is dense, low-maintenance and available in realistic marble and stone looks. Natural stone offers unique veining and texture but is softer and needs periodic sealing. We help you compare both in person and choose based on look, maintenance and budget.
Yes. When a bathroom project requires permits — for example, layout changes or plumbing and electrical updates — we coordinate them with the County of San Diego, and homes in the Covenant may also need Rancho Santa Fe Association review.
It depends on the size of the room, the tile and fixtures you choose and how much of the layout changes. After a free consultation we provide a detailed written estimate, and financing is available.
