Home Remodeling Center – Southern California's leaders in home remodeling
Large-format porcelain, natural stone, mosaics and curbless showers — chosen at our San Marcos Design Center and installed by our own in-house tile setters. Never subcontractors.
Tile sets the tone of a luxury bathroom more than any other finish. It covers the shower walls, the floor and often a feature wall, and it is the first thing you notice when you walk in. Getting it right means choosing the right material and size for the space — and installing it with no visible shortcuts.
Home Remodeling Center handles both halves. You choose tile with a designer at our San Marcos Design Center, and our own crews build the shower, floor and details. One team, one point of contact and one warranty.

Every material below is installed by Home Remodeling Center’s in-house crews — never subcontractors.
24×48 tile, oversized panels and slab-look porcelain for showers and floors with minimal grout lines. Requires a flat substrate and careful lippage control — exactly what our setters are trained for.
Marble, travertine, limestone and slate for shower walls, floors and vanity backsplashes, installed with the right setting materials and sealed to protect the finish.
Herringbone, chevron, hexagon, penny, fish-scale and stone mosaics for shower floors, niches and accent walls — laid out so patterns line up and centered cuts look intentional.
Zero-threshold showers with a properly sloped floor, linear or center drains and continuous floor tile from the bathroom into the shower.
Recessed niches aligned to grout lines, built-in benches, mitered or metal-trimmed edges and tiled tub decks that make a bathroom feel custom.
Bathroom floors, tub surrounds and freestanding-tub platforms in porcelain, stone or mosaic, coordinated with your vanity, fixtures and glass.
Premium tile shows every shortcut: uneven edges, cut tiles in the wrong place, grout lines that drift and showers that leak behind the wall. Our in-house tile setters build showers and floors the right way from the substrate up.

Tile looks different on a screen than it does in your bathroom light. At our Design Center at 830 Los Vallecitos Blvd in San Marcos, you can compare large-format porcelain, natural stone and mosaics side by side — along with vanities, fixtures and glass — with a designer who helps you put it all together.

“HRC just finished a two bathroom remodel for us. We really needed more storage with the layout of the bathroom to stay the same and they came up with a fantastic layout in both bathrooms. From start to finish everyone was professional and respectful of our home and needs. We really liked that we did not have to deal with any sub-contractors.”
Adair & Bob · Bathroom remodel“Wow! That is what everyone says about my kitchen when they walk in, thanks to the hard-working staff of HRC. HRC helped me create a gorgeous, functional, stunning kitchen. They communicated with me frequently throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend HRC.”
Kelly Cullen · Kitchen remodel“HRC is great to work with. Had them remodel our old kitchen. Kim was very helpful in picking out hardware, tile, etc. The crew was very professional and careful with existing floors and walls.”

Home Remodeling Center (CSLB #831553) has designed and built bathrooms in North County San Diego since 1993. Our own in-house tile setters install large-format porcelain, natural stone, mosaics and curbless showers — we never use subcontractors.
At our Design Center at 830 Los Vallecitos Blvd, San Marcos, CA 92069. You can compare large-format porcelain, natural stone and mosaic tile side by side, along with vanities, fixtures and glass, with help from a designer.
Both can be excellent. Large-format porcelain is dense, low-maintenance and available in convincing marble and stone looks with minimal grout lines. Natural stone such as marble or travertine offers one-of-a-kind veining and texture but is softer and needs periodic sealing. We help you weigh look, maintenance and budget at our Design Center.
Yes. A curbless (zero-threshold) shower needs a properly sloped floor, the right drain and complete waterproofing. Whether it is practical depends on your floor structure, which we evaluate during your free consultation.
No. Home Remodeling Center’s own crews handle demolition, waterproofing, tile setting and finish work, and our work is backed by a 10-year labor warranty.
Cost depends on the tile you choose, the size of the shower and floor, layout complexity (patterns, niches, benches, mitered edges) and whether the project is part of a full remodel. We provide a free, detailed written estimate after your consultation, and financing is available.
It depends on the scope. A shower re-tile is shorter than a full primary bath remodel with layout changes. Your written proposal includes a clear scope and schedule, and our in-house crews keep the project moving without waiting on outside subcontractors.
